Homerton Baptist Church Mission
Contemporary evangelistic outreach using
internet and radio evangelism. Explaining the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the
teachings of the Bible. Grace Baptist Church mission project.
Worldwide Christian evangelistic resources.

Grace Baptist Mission
As a church we support the Grace Baptist Mission.
We believe that the missionary / evangelistic work of the church needs to be
international as well as local. The Grace Baptist Mission is not a
missionary organisation in and of itself, but rather an extension of the work of
the church. In addition to your support of this work please also consider
the work of the Grace Baptist Mission (www.gbm.org.uk).

Welcome
We hope you enjoy using this site and
enjoy hearing of God's work. This website supplies details of the
evangelist outreach project run by
Homerton Baptist Church.
This project runs in correlation with the general outreach of the church
however is designed to reach a particular group of the community. We
have set-up this website to inform churches of what God has requested of us,
and to provide opportunity to churches worldwide to join us in our work and also
to pray for the
important work the Lord has given us to do.
Our Aims
Our main aim is to reach un-churched
18-30 year olds in the UK. We also believe that the work carried out
under this project could be greatly used throughout the world, in helping
churches reach out to young people in their own locality. As you will
imagine the aim we have set for ourselves is an incredibly hard task. We
ask that God might guide us in the proclamation of his word.
Internet & Radio Mission
We are aiming to use radio and the
internet to reach young people with the Gospel. The internet is used
mostly by those between the ages of 18 and 30 years of age. We
strongly believe that if created correctly could be used to share the Gospel
message directly with people, without being threatening. To find out
more please visit our section on the
Internet. The radio is also a powerful medium and is used
by most generations. Unfortunately the ability to use public
mainstream radio to spread the Gospel message is difficult, however the
church is currently exploring possibility of using radio effectively.
To find out more please visit our
section on Radio.
Support
Prayer is our most powerful tool in
evangelism. As Christians we are instructed that we must pray for our
evangelism for it to be effective, for us to see fruit be born from it.
Homerton Baptist Church would greatly appreciate prayer for this project.
Please
email us to find out
more about the work and how you could pray more effectively for it.
Please feel free to use any of
the resources provided by our network of websites in your own churches evangelism.
Our other websites may be accessed through links provided under our
Internet section.
Internet Mission
We are currently planning
to produce a number of websites as part of this ministry. It is
hoped that like minded churches will take the opportunity to become
actively involved in this ministry and consider providing articles for
inclusion within the websites being produced. If you would like to
submit articles please
email
us. Please note that all articles will be submitted via our Pastor
who will act as editor. All articles will need to be in line with
our church's biblical basis of faith.
Please find below a list of
websites being produced and what they are being designed to achieve:
-
Evangelistic Website
This site will be designed to reach non-Christians where they are with
the Gospel. This will use the means of topical explanation of
biblical principals of living and the proper use of apologetics to
explain the Gospel simply and effectively.
-
Teaching Website
We hope to produce a site aimed at young people aged between 18 and 30
years of age who are already in churches to teach them the doctrines of
our faith and provide them with a clear theological understanding of
scripture. We hope this will be a useful aid for both the young
people in our own church and also be used by churches worldwide as part
of their youth ministry.
-
Resource Website
Churches often are looking for resources to help them in their
ministry to young people and it is hoped that through the work of the
radio and internet ministry resources produced will be made available to
churches for their use.
Radio Mission
The church is currently
looking into ways of using public domain radio to reach young people in
the UK. Many of the ideas in mind will be relevant worldwide and
it is hoped that churches will take up to opportunity to become involved
in this work.
We hope to commence the
work with the production of topical audio clips which will be submitted
to broadcasters in the UK which use current news and sports events to
reach out to un-churched young people. The audio clips are viewed
to act as pre-evangelist outreach to introduce the Christian faith in a
practical and effective way. We hope to work with organisations
such as
2KPlus
and
AudioPot.org
to achieve our aims. Please pray for the planning and future work
of this project.
We also hope to produce a
site for broadcasters to obtain audio clips for their programs and be
used in our
Internet Outreach
projects.
